A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been posted for the following locations: Bitterroot/Sapphire Mountains, West Glacier, Seeley Lake, Northern Clearwater Mountains, Lower Clark Fork, and the Kootenai/Cabinet Region.
In these areas, 2-4 inches of snow is expected, with localized areas of 6 inches possible. Regions more likely to see closer to the 6 inches are high elevation areas near the MT/ID border, such as Lookout Pass, Lost Trail Pass, and Lolo Pass.
Snow will start in NW Montana by about 8PM and move quickly into SW Montana by about 2AM. Valley locations will not see as much snow. Between a trace to two inches is likely. Overnight lows tonight will range from around 20 in SW Montana to near 30 in NW Montana.
There is a slight chance of snow Thursday night and into Friday, but this system is relatively weak and widespread impacts are not expected.
We are tracking yet another system that will affect the area Saturday and Sunday. We will update you on this system as it gets closer and details become more clear.
