Winter weather advisories, accumulating snow

 WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY Friday for Gallatin, Madison and Beaverhead Counties and adjacent areas of Yellowstone National Park.  Snowfall of 1 to 3 inches in the valleys, 3 to 6 inches at the passes and 6 to 12 inches in the higher elevation.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY Friday for the Missoula and Bitterroot Valleys and adjacent areas.  Snowfall of a trace to 2 inches in the valleys and 2 to 4 inches in the mountains.

Snow banding will be possible Friday across west central Montana.  In this situation, some areas may receive a quick inch or two of snow while just down the road there is no snow.

High temperatures will be in the 30s. 

The storm system will move out of the region just in time for the weekend.  

Chilly this weekend with highs in the 30s to around 40.  Lows in the 10s and 20s.

Dry conditions should occur for the "Brawl of the Wild" game on Saturday in Bozeman. 

A little milder next week with highs in the 40s.  A chance of rain and snow Wednesday and Thursday.
