Valley rain and mountain snow will impact the morning commute. Snow levels will drop to around 4000 feet this morning. This will allow for snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches over Lookout, Lolo, and Lost Trail Passes. Valley locations will see mainly rain with a trace of snow possible in our higher valleys. Showers will diminish through the day.
Temperatures will be near normal in the 40s.
Tonight lows will drop below freezing. The Tuesday morning commute could be slick in spots.
We are tracking a quick moving system that will bring another round of rain and mountain snow to the area late Tuesday and early Wednesday. Lost Trail, Lookout, and Marias Passes could see as much as 4 inches of snow. Valley locations could see a dusting to 1 inch of snow.
