Right after a thunderstorm this beautiful rainbow showed up :)
This is a Circumhorizontal arc. They can only occur when the sun is 58 degrees or higher above the horizon.This relegates any sightings to roughly around 6 weeks either side of the summer solstice.

These were photos taken prior to last Thursdays thunderstorm. Never saw mare's tales with circles in them. I think the sun is behind the clouds making colors. Circle in colors is from flash, I think.
