Moderate to heavy valley rain, mountain snow Friday into Saturday afternoon

MISSOULA, Mont. - Rain will move into northwest Montana Friday night and last overnight into Saturday afternoon.

Valley locations should anticipate heavier rain. Light snow is forecasted for higher elevations overnight Friday and Saturday morning.

Mountain passes including Lookout, Lost Trail, Lolo and Homestake could receive between one to three inches of snow. Those traveling should exercise caution.

Temperatures Friday night will be in the mid-30s across the region. Saturday afternoon they will remain seasonable in the upper forties.

Rain will dissipate Saturday night and give way to sunny skies on Sunday with temperatures in the mid 50s and more spring-like conditions.
