Weather News

Shower chances go up this afternoon

A large storm system is off the coast of British Columbia. In advance of it, warm and dry weather continues across the northern Rockies. Highs will be in the 70s and 80s again on Thursday with mid to upper 70s highs on Friday.

Moisture will begin moving into the region each afternoon through Friday, with a slight chance of showers from Salmon to Butte to Bozeman and West Yellowstone on Thursday. Most of the region will at least have a slight chance of a shower on Friday.

The Pacific storm will move into the Northwest this weekend. We will see increasing clouds with a chance of showers, especially Saturday. Cooler conditions follow with highs dropping to the 60s to around 70 Saturday and the upper 50s to lower 60s Sunday.

Next week will be shower with highs in the 50s and lows in the mid 30s. We will be watching the start of the week closely for possible mountain snowfall.
