Rob comes to NBC Montana from Minneapolis, Minn., where he served as host of the morning program "Showcase Minnesota" on KARE-11.
Born and raised in Elk River, Minn., Rob’s broadcasting career has taken him on a cross-country adventure. A St. Cloud State University alum, Rob began his career at WEAU Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He then went on to NBC-15 Madison, Los Angeles, and KSWB in San Diego (where he won an Emmy) before returning to his home state of Minnesota in 2006, joining KARE-11.
In his spare time, you will most likely catch Rob either fishing or bow hunting - depending on the season.
Rob enjoys most sports, but his favorite is hockey. He has served as the TV play-by-play announcer for the University of Wisconsin and St. Cloud State men’s WCHA hockey teams. He played for both the Austin Mavericks and the Waterloo Blackhawks of the USHL.
Rob’s biggest source of pride is his family. He and his wife Becca live in the Missoula area with their daughter Presley. Rob is active in many charities including Spread the Word to End the Word, Special Olympics, Muscular Dystrophy Association and the National Down Syndrome Society.
