Katherine Mozzone is a reporter for KTVM in Bozeman. Born in Oklahoma and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Katherine graduated from the Grady College of Journalism at the University of Georgia in 2008 with a degree in broadcast journalism. While in attendance, she reported for the school's student-run news broadcast, and many of her stories aired on the local independent station, WNEG. As a Georgia Bulldog, Katherine also served as one of the live-shot coordinators for UGA's sports show, Georgia Gameday.
Though she stayed busy gaining experience in TV news, Katherine is grateful to have had the opportunity to study abroad at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Her senior year, she was selected as a student judge for the Peabody Awards but declined so she could participate in the Semester in Washington Journalism program in Washington, D.C. There, she interned at the local NBC 4 station, while studying at the George Washington University. After completion, Katherine stayed in D.C. to work on the production side of TV news at NBC News Channel on Capitol Hill. She dabbled in local D.C. politics and freelance video journalism before heading west in the spring of 2011.
Katherine enjoys taking advantage of all the outdoor recreation Montana has to offer, especially her newest love, skiing. She also appreciates Bozeman's local music scene and is always up for a good show at the Filling Station. When she's not on assignment, Katherine enjoys dancing, listening to live music, eating sushi and exploring Big Sky country, the last best place!
