Alyx Sacks is a reporter for KTVM in Butte. She was born in Portland, Oregon, and has lived all over the west coast. She recently graduated college in May of 2011 with a dual major in Journalism and Sociology at the University of Nevada, Reno. She played soccer for the University of Nevada as well.
Alyx has come to Butte for her first professional position in broadcast. At the University of Nevada she was an anchor, MMJ and writer for Wolf Pack Week, a student-run television news program. Alyx has always loved journalism and says she caught “the bug” in high school when she became the sports editor for her high school newspaper and anchored her high school televised announcements.
Since, then she has served two internships at KRNV News 4 in Reno, Nevada as well as worked as a video editor for KRNV.
With a passion for sports and the outdoors, Alyx feels Montana is just right for her. Her father is a Griz alum and played football for the University of Montana and graduated in 1980. Her father also lived in Butte for a year where he taught and coached at Butte Central High School in 1981.
