Wolfpack looking to get back to state
In the class 'AA' conference the Glacier boys basketball team has plans to get back to the state tournament.
The Wolfpack have actually won the Western Conference the past three years in a row. However Glacier has struggled once reaching the state tournament and hasn't finished better than fourth place.
The team lost several players to graduation including Ryan Edwards. Glacier only returns a couple of starters from last season, but the Wolfpack says they expect to win games and compete for another conference championship.
The team tells us that they will depend heavily on their quickness and guard play to win games this winter.
"We're going to be fast, we're going to be athletic," said Glacier senior Evan Epperly. "We've got a lot of shooters that can space the floor. We're going to utilize our quickness a lot offensively."
"The strength for these guys is going to be our perimeter," said Glacier head basketball coach Mark Harkins. "We're going to be able to get out and run. We have great guard play, we return two starting guards on the perimeter with Evan Epperly and Bryan Michaels so that's going to be I think where we build around is what we've got on the perimeter."
Glacier will open up its season at home against CMR Friday Dec, 13.
