Wiley inks contract with Brooklyn Nets

MISSOULA, Mont. - The NBA Draft concluded on Thursday night, but it was Friday that became a night former Montana Grizzly Jacob Wiley will never forget.

Wiley only played one year at Eastern Washington, but he made it count, agreeing to a partially guaranteed contract with the Brooklyn Nets on Friday.

The 2016-2017 Big Sky Player of the Year started his collegiate career in Missoula with the Grizzlies. He played 20 games with UM as a true freshman in the 2012-2013 season.

Wiley finished last season 6th in NCAA Division I hoops with a field goal percentage of 64-percent. He also averaged a double-double in conference play in his senior season and was tops in the Big Sky in rebounds and blocks. All that while setting a single-season Eastern Washington record with 94 blocks.

His NBA career will start July 7th at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
