BOZEMAN, Mont. - The MSU basketball season may be over, but one former Lady Bobcat is still making news, sticking out as a top player, halfway around the globe.
22-year-old Katie Bussey, who as a senior during the 2011-2012 season was a unanimous selection for the first team All-Big Sky, was named eurobasket.com's Player of the Week.
Bussey currently plays for the Probuild Lions in the Dutch league, and it's no wonder the former lady cat was rewarded for her play, she leads her team in scoring at just over 21 points per game and leads her entire league in scoring. Last week in a win she poured in 39 points to go with her eight rebounds, and the Probuild Lions now sit in first place in their league at 14-6 on the season.
Last year, before Bussey was on the team, the Lions were the national champs of The Netherlands, and it looks like Bussey is taking them to the next level with her stellar play.
