Bledsoe and the Suns are reportedly far apart in contract talks. Last week, Phoenix completed a sign-and-trade with the Sacramento Kings to acquire point guard Isaiah Thomas with a three-year, $27 million deal. In June, they used a first-round pick on Syracuse point guard Tyler Ennis.
Sacramento is showing interest in Bledsoe, who spent his first two seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers and was dealt to the Suns in the trade that sent JJ Redick to L.A. Bledsoe received a qualifying offer from the Suns, who retain refusal rights to match competing offer sheets, which now seem inevitable.
---Forward Glen Davis signed a one-year, $1.23 million deal to return to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Davis joined the Clippers last season in February after being released by the Orlando Magic, reuniting with coach Doc Rivers, with whom Davis worked as members of the Boston Celtics.
---Josh Smith remains the subject of ongoing trade talks between the Detroit Pistons and Sacramento Kings.
The Kings, who lost point guard Isaiah Thomas to the Phoenix Suns, covet Smith's versatility in a frontcourt that includes Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousiins. Smith has three years, $40.5 million remaining on the contract he signed to join the Pistons as an unrestricted free agent last season.
