The Lady Griz basketball team has been hot early in the season, but Saturday night Montana fell to Temple 61-52.
Offensively it was a slow start for both teams. Montana struggled to find the bottom of the basket shooting 33 percent from the floor in the first half. The Lady Griz found themselves down by just one point at the half after Temple shot 28 percent from the field.
In the second half Temple outscored Montana 34-26. Lady Griz senior Jordan Sullivan was the only starter to hit double figures in the game with 16 points. Sullivan also added 11 rebounds to finish the game with a double-double.
Lady Griz freshman Alycia Sims put in some quality minutes off the bench. Sims scored 11 points and grabbed eight boards in just 22 minutes of play.
Entering Saturday's contest the Lady Griz hadn't lost a home game this season. The Lady Griz will be on the road for the next three weeks and will have to wait almost a month before returning home for a conference game against Eastern Washington Thursday Jan, 9.
