Redshirt junior Kellie Cole nearly had herself a double-double last week against Portland; today those efforts earned her the title of Big Sky Conference player of the week.
The Lady Griz had just one game last week, but Cole made all 40 of her minutes count as Montana defeated Portland 68-61 to secure head coach Robin Selvig’s 800th career win.
The Bozeman native matched a career high with 16 points in that game, she also grabbed 9 rebounds, had a team-high three assists, plus a block and a steal.
Her efforts helped Montana improve to 2-0 on the young season.
This is Cole’s first career player of the week honor.
