The Carroll football team improved their early season record to 2-0 this past Saturday after their 31-3 victory over MSU-Northern at home inside Nelson Stadium.
So far in their first two games the Saints offense has put up an astounding 82 points, while the defense has allowed only ten points.
And for the second straight week, Saints freshman Kyle Griffith was a factor at wide receiver. He hauled in a 17-yard touchdown late in the first half to give Carroll the lead 10-3; The saints used that momentum to score 28 unanswered points.
On the season the Glacier Wolfpack graduate already has four catches for over 60 yards and a team high two touchdown receptions.
Saints head coach Mike Van Diest says he’s happy with the entirety of his passing game at this point in the year: "Well we've got the manpower out on the perimeter with Simac, and Clark and with Mayernik at the receiving crops, those guys are great,” explained Van Diest. “The young kid Griffith, he's scored 2 TD's already in his early career.”
