The Montana Grizzlies beat Southern Utah 69-61 Thursday night behind Kareem Jamar's game high 25 points.

The Griz struggled to shoot the ball in the first half, making just 7-of-22 field goals and 2-of-9 three-pointers. UM went to the half trailing the Thunderbirds 25-22. But the Grizzlies got hot in the second half and outscored Southern Utah 47-36 to pick up the 69-61 victory on the road. 

Jamar was a big to the Montana's success. He went 7-of-12 from the floor, hit 3-of-4 three-point shots, and went 8-of-13 from the free throw line. Jamar also lead the team with 5 assists. Thursday's game was the eighth game of the season Jamar has scored 20 or more points.

The win improves the Grizzlies' conference record to 4-5, and 9-9 overall. Montana will finish its final game of a current four game road trip an Montana State in Bozeman, Monday, Feb. 3.
