A special week for Kareem Jamar and the Grizzly basketball team just got even more memorable as today Jamar was named co-player of the week in the Big Sky Conference along with Joel Bolomboy of Weber State.
Last week Jamar averaged over 20 points and 7 rebounds per game as Montana picked up three wins against Montana State, Portland State and Eastern Washington.
Of course Jamar also made Grizzly history twice last week: Thursday against the Vikings he passed Will Cherry for 7th all-time scoring in Montana history. Then Saturday against Eastern, Jamar eclipsed his own head coach Wayne Tinkle for 6th all-time in Griz scoring history.
Jamar also becomes just the 32nd player ever from the Big Sky Conference to reach 1,500 points in his college career. This is the 7th time in Jamar’s career that he's been named player of the week.
