The Bozeman Hawks knew their first match would say a lot about their team as they opened the season against the Great Falls Bison. If Tuesday's matches means anything, it is that the Hawks are a team to be reckoned with.

Bozeman opened their season with a win against last years championship team, 39-30 Tuesday night.

The Hawks trailed Great Falls 30-26 with only three matches remaining. Cody Wiers got everything started for the Hawks, pinning Mateo Amado-Cateneo in 5 minutes and 39 seconds to give Bozeman a 32 to 30 lead.

Bozeman followed that up with a major decision win by senior Keavon Buckley to take a 36-30 lead. The Hawks then capped off the night with another major decision by Hunter Hart to make it three straight wins and a victory in their opening night.
