The Lady Griz used a 22-2 run to close out the first half of the game and Montana hung on to get the win 67-46 over Montana Western Thursday night at Dahlberg Arena in Montana’s final exhibition contest.
The game was tied 17-17 late in the first half; that’s when Montana outscored the Bulldogs 22-2 over the final 6:26 of the first half and grabbed a 39-19 heading into intermission. The Lady Griz led by at least 15 points the entire second half to coast to victory.
Junior Kellie Cole was the sole bright spot on offense for the Lady Griz; Cole posted a game-high 22 points on 9-for-13 shooting.
Montana opens its regular season Sunday against MSU Northern. The Lady Griz and Skylights tip off at 2 p.m. at Dahlberg Arena.
