The Grizzly football team was tested all day by South Dakota, but a 99 yard kick return for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter by Ellis Henderson helped push the Grizzlies to victory 31-27 at South Dakota.

This was a non-conference game; however it was still a key victory for the Grizzlies as they keep their FCS playoff hopes alive.

Montana now leads the all-time series 11-6 over South Dakota; the Grizzlies are 3-5 in games played at South Dakota.
