MISSOULA, Mont. -

The Montana men’s and women’s tennis teams had great weeks and now it’s time for the awards to prove it.

UM tennis players Precious Gbadamosi (women’s) and Andrew Warren (men’s) were both selected as the Big Sky Conference players of the week on Tuesday.

Gbadamosi went a perfect 4-0 in No. 5 singles play last week against Eastern Washington, Gonzaga, Weber State and Northern Arizona.  The sophomore from Houston, Texas was nearly perfect in doubles action as well with a 3-1 mark.  Sunday’s team win over Northern Arizona gave the Montana women’s team sole possession of second place in the conference standings.

Gbadamosi is 15-3 in singles matches this spring, with a perfect 8-0 mark in the Big Sky conference. She is 14-5 in doubles, with a 6-2 mark in league action.

On the men’s side of things it was Grizzly senior Andrew Warren getting the nod as the men’s player of the week.  Warren went a perfect 2-0 in both No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles to help Montana win a pair of conference matches over Weber State and Northern Arizona.

Warren is now 17-11 in singles play with a 5-3 conference record.  He (with partner Ethan Vaughn) are 7-4 overall in doubles action with a perfect 5-0 record in Big Sky play.
