Montana interim head football coach Mick Delaney told NBC Montana sports on Friday afternoon that Missoula Loyola standout athlete Josh Janssen has verbally committed to play football for the Griz.

Janssen, who will be a Senior this year at Loyola is a three-sport athlete, excelling in football, basketball and track & field.

Janssen told NBC Montana that he was offered a scholarship after impressing coaches at Griz football camp two weekends ago.

The Missoula native plays the wide receiver position and is known for his speed.  He finished 3rd overall in the 100 meter dash this year at the Class B State Track Meet.
