It was an exciting afternoon for Montana basketball as the Lady Griz beat Northern Colorado 56-43 to win the Big Sky Tournament.
The Lady Griz jumped out to an early lead after Jordan Sullivan hit an opening three point shot for Montana. The Lady Griz outplayed the Bears in the first half of the game, Montana went into the half with a 30-18 lead. Senior Kenzie De Boer had a game high 19 points and was name the MVP of the Big Sky Tournament.
Montana hit the first shot of the game and they never trailed Northern Colorado for the entire game. It was back to back games in which the Lady Griz controlled the game and never trailed their opponent. With the win the Lady Griz earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
