Grizzlies win at UND, stay unbeaten in conference
Mathias Ward leads the way with 27 points
The Montana Grizzlies improved to 5-0 in conference play with a 77-60 road win over North Dakota Thursday night in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
Montana took a narrow 38-36 lead into halftime but outscored their opponents by 13 points in the second half en route to the victory.
Senior forward Mathias Ward scored scored 15 of his game high 27 points in the first half. Senior point guard Will Cherry played a game high 37 minutes, chipping in 14 points and 7 assists. Sophomore Kevin Henderson started tonight in place of the injured Jordan Gregory. Henderson hit 5 of 7 field goals to finish with 12 points and 5 rebounds.
The Grizzlies' next conference contest will next be Saturday in Greeley, Colorado against Northern Colorado. That game tips off at 4:35 (MST) and is being televised on Altitude.
