Saturday night the Griz basketball team made a trip to Bozeman where they beat the Bobcats 71-68.

It was a big win for Montana, the Griz were without seniors Will Cherry and Mathias Ward who were both inactive due to injury's. But that did not stop Montana one bit, the Griz had four players score in double figures.

Sophomore Keron Deshields led Montana with 17 points, which ties his career high, junior Kareem Jamar and junior Spencer Coleman scored 14 points each, while sophomore Jordan Gregory added 11 points.

Flavien Davis scored 30 points for the bobcats but it would not be enough for Montana State. The Griz took their largest lead of the game with 11:16 left to play in the second half when they went up by 16 points. The Cats battled the Grizzlies until the end but Montana was able to get the win 71-68.

The win gave the Griz their 20th win of the season, it's Montana's 4th consecutive 20-win season which ties a school record. The win also keeps the Griz in first place in the Big Sky standings, just one game ahead of Weber State.

While Montana has already clinched a postseason birth, Montana state is still looking to make it into the Big Sky tournament.

Montana will be back in action Monday night when they travel to Southern Utah in Cedar City. Montana State will finish the regular season with two home games starting with Northern Arizona Thursday night.
