MISSOULA, Mont. -

Missoula hosted one of the top marathons in the nation Sunday morning, and as usual it was dominated by our very own local western Montana runners.

In the men's full marathon it was Corvallis native and former University of Montana runner Collin Fehr that took 1st place honors.

Fehr won the race in 2:32:39. That is the 3rd fasted time ever posted in the race's six year history.

This was just the 2nd career marathon for the 24-year old. It was his 1st career full Missoula Marathon after he ran the half marathon here last summer.

Missoula's own Jimmy Grant, who won the half marathon two years ago, took second place in the race for a 3rd career time. Grant was exactly one minute behind Fehr.

The women's course record was broken today by Missoula's own Trisha Drobeck. She finished in 2:49:47 seconds. That obliterated the previous record of 2 hours and 57 minutes set back in 2009...

This was the 2nd full Missoula Marathon win for the 32-year old Drobeck. She also won the race two years ago. She was known as Trisha Miller back in that 2010 race.
