The Washington Capitals said Alex Ovechkin is questionable for Wednesday night's game against the Ottawa Senators with a lower-body injury.

Ovechkin skated for less than 10 minutes at practice on Wednesday and appeared to be "testing something," according to Katie Carrera of the Washington Post.

Carrera reported that Ovechkin was attempting a speed drill at practice when he was forced to pull up after a few strides and immediately leave the ice.

Ovechkin was seen limping after Monday's 5-0 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. He took a hip check from Hurricanes defenseman Bryan Allen in the second period that appeared to injure his left leg.

The 26-year-old has 24 goals and 21 assists in 56 games for the Capitals this season.
