Cal Poly, UC Davis Join Big Sky

Montana may still be pondering the idea of moving up the FBS in the near future, but after learning some big news out of the fcs today, it looks like the Griz may stay around just a little longer.

Cal Poly and UC Davis announced this afternoon that they have accepted invitations to join the Big Sky Conference.

Both schools' football programs currently compete in the FCS and are members of the Great West Conference.

Both schools will only make the move in football, and not in any other sports.

A definite timeline has not been set for the programs to officially join the Big Sky, but an effort will be made to work the schools into a schedule as quickly as possible.
