BILLINGS, Mont. -

A Billings West High School student has been suspended from school for bringing a BB gun onto school property.

District administrator Kathy Olson says the student drove to school last Thursday with a BB gun in his car and parked in the school lot. During lunch off campus, Olson says the boy pulled the BB gun from his car and showed it to friends. Olson says no one was threatened.

Another student saw the boy handling the gun and reported it to school officials.

The boy was suspended after a hearing on Tuesday. The length of the suspension was not disclosed.
