BOZEMAN, Mont. -

People who stay at Bozeman's warming center will get a nice Christmas surprise Tuesday night. It is all thanks to generous donations from the community.

Sara Savage is with the Human Resource Development Council, which runs the warming center. She says shelter guests will receive a goody bag that includes items like gloves, hats, snacks and other essentials.

Two church congregations and a private donor put the bags together, to help the area's homeless this Christmas season.

"We rely on the generosity of our community, and so when folks start to come to us in November and early December and say we would like to take part and give back to the community, each year we feel so blessed and so encouraged and so excited to take part in it," said Savage.

Savage says 70 people have stayed at the shelter since they opened their doors for the season on November 15th.
