Missoula County officials have released the name of a 59-year-old man who died in a one-vehicle crash on Montana Highway 200 near Ovando.
The Associated Press reports the victim was Michael J. Murphy of Ovando.
The Montana Highway Patrol says other drivers had called 911 around 10 a.m. Sunday to report someone driving erratically. Sheriff's Sgt. Jeremiah Petersen says shortly after that, the sport utility vehicle went off the road and came to rest with its back bumper in the Blackfoot River.
Murphy died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
