JACKSON, Mont. -

New information on the lost Verizon cell phone service in Jackson and Virginia City.

After making calls to businesses in the area, we've been told service is back to normal in Jackson.

However, it appears service in Virginia City is still down in that area.

Just a few hours ago we spoke with Bob Kelley, media manager for Verizon Wireless.

He explains they have been working around the clock to restore service to both areas.

"Over the last couple of days we worked to get temporary facilities into those markets to restore service. Jackson is up with a temporary cell site. The latest update for Virginia City is that were looking to get a temporary cell site on the air this weekend. We expect to have it on the air by the end of tomorrow, Sunday," said Kelley.

Kelley also tells us in Jackson, the temporary tower will remain in place until they have a more permanent solution to serve that area.
