Vann's main warehouse to be located in Billings
The CEO of Vann's has quit, less than three months after announcing the company will close all three of its western Montana locations. He was hired in November after a holding company for the Florida-based Khaledi Group bought Vann's for $4.5 million in October of last year -- two months after the company filed for bankruptcy.
NBC Montana called leaders of their Billings office and officials with the Khaledi Group to find out more but had a tough time getting information. We stopped at the Vann's store in Bozeman to get the facts firsthand from the store manager. Don Mark tells us their main warehouse will be in Billings with a secondary one in Bozeman.
The store manager tells me their office support leaders will be working out of Billings and Missoula.
Even though they're closing down their Missoula store, Mark says the OnStore in Missoula -- which focuses on Apple products -- will stay open.
He showed us construction in the Bozeman store and explained they're in the process of adding an OnStore.
We asked about the company's search for a new CEO. Mark says he's uncertain where they stand but says he's been instructed to operate the store as if it were his own.
Vann's opened in Montana in 1961.
