MISSOULA, Mont. -

Montana Highway Patrol dispatchers tell NBC Montana that two men are dead following a vehicle wreck west of Missoula, off of I-90 near De Borgia Friday night. Dispatchers say a Utah man was driving a semi-truck eastbound on I-90 at roughly 11:00 pm Friday night, near mile marker 21, when the truck went off the road.

Dispatchers say the truck then struck two pedestrians who had been outside of their vehicles, as well as their vehicles. Dispatchers tell NBC Montana a 24- year old Chicago man and a 28-year old Missoula man both died, and that the investigation is ongoing. Dispatchers say the highway was icy, and that speed was a factor, though alcohol was not a factor. Dispatchers say the Utah man was not injured in the crash.
