MISSOULA, Mont. -

Investigators are still working to piece together what led to an accident that left one man dead Friday night. A motorcycle and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of Reserve and Third Street.

NBC Montana was on the scene and spoke directly to investigators. We're told investigators haven't determined who is at fault, but we confirmed the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities kept a section of Third Street closed for more than an hour while they worked to clear debris. We spoke to one man on the scene who told our reporters he rushed to try and help but it was too late.

Details are limited at this time and the cause of the accident is still under investigation. It's unclear whether speed or alcohol are factors in the crash.

NBC Montana will continue to follow this investigation and let you know when we have more details.
