BOISE, Idaho -

A Boise taxi company is converting older Mercedes Benz models to run on bio-diesel.
Recab co-owner James Orr tells KBOI-TV ( ) he got the idea from his love of vintage cars and the environment.
He says the cars are reliable and the concept was spawned when he realized they could be used in such an environmentally friendly way.
Bio-diesel cars use fuel from vegetable oil and they emit less carbon dioxide than regular vehicles
The taxis won't be on the road until at least mid-May.
