BOZEMAN, Mont. -

Snow and ice is impacting high elevation locations in southwest Montana.

NBC Montana has been checking the webcams at ski resorts in the Bozeman area.

Bridger Bowls's webcams show a dusting of snow on the ridge, as well as in areas like Sluice Box and Pierre's Knob.

South of Bozeman in the Big Sky area, webcams at Big Sky Resort show a fair amount of snow near the top of Lone Peak and dusting around the Mountain Village.  Moonlight Basin posted a picture of a dusting of snow on its Facebook page.

Snow and ice is impacting travelers planning to cross the US 212 over the Beartooth Pass.  The Montana Department of Transportation reports the road has been closed because of snow and ice from the Wyoming State Line to Vista Point.  Drivers traveling over other parts of the Beartooth Highway are cautioned to watch out for snow and ice.

NBC Montana's First Alert Weather team is tracking the system moving through the area.  Check nbcmontana.com and KTVM 6 on Facebook for updates through out the day.
