A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING is in effect for parts of Deer Lodge, Powell, Granite, and Silver Bow counties until 8:15 pm.

This storm is currently located 14 mile southwest of Anaconda and moving northeast at 40 mph. Locations in the storm's path include Anaconda, Crackerville, Deer Lodge, Fishtrap, Galen, Georgetown and Georgetown Hot Springs, Lost Creek, Opportunity, Princeton, Warm Springs, Racetrack and West Valley.

A separate warning has also been issued for Jefferson and Broadwater Counties until 8:15 pm. This storm is 15 miles northeast of Whitehall moving northeast at 30 mph. This storm will remain over rural areas of both counties. A 66 mph wind gust was reported in Whitehall due to this storm.

These storms can produce destructive winds above 60 mph, hail up to 1 inch in diameter, and lightning. Take shelter immediately if you are in the storm's path.
