MISSOULA, Mont. -

Missoula County health officials report the number of flu cases has doubled in just a week

Health officials say the last week of December there were 22 confirmed cases of the flu and now that number has more than doubled to 50.

Doctors are urging anyone who hasn't been vaccinated to get a flu shot.

The Missoula County Health Department offers shots for $30 with no appointment necessary.

The Centers for Disease Control reports widespread flu activity in 25 states.

Each year more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu complications.
