BOZEMAN, Mont. -

A RED FLAG WARNING is in effect until 9 pm Sunday for the Gallatin, east Beaverhead and west Beaverhead-Deer Lodge National Forests until 9pm this evening. The warning for the Gallatin National Forest began at 9 am while the warning for the Beaverhead-Deer Lodge Forests goes into effect at 3 pm today.
Counties in this warning include Gallatin, Park, Madison, Beaverhead, Lemhi, Broadwater, Granite, Meagher, Jefferson, Powell, Silver Bow, Lewis & Clark, and Deer Lodge.

Humidities will drop to anywhere between 15 and 10% this afternoon and gusty winds will be present. Scattered thunderstorms this evening will produce lightning and erratic winds, but little in the way of widespread rainfall. Because of these conditions, any fire starts should be reported as quickly as possible as new fires will spread quickly.

The Eureka and Miner Paradise Complex will be affected by this warning. These fires have burned a combined 17,866 acres so far in Southwest Montana.
