MISSOULA, Mont. -

The following is a press release from the City of Missoula:

Baseball fans on their way to the Missoula Osprey opening night game against Helena at the civic stadium’s Ogren Park Allegiance Field on Thursday evening can and should travel in using the new Wyoming Street connection off Russell Street. The newly-paved Wyoming Street connects to California Street, which leads to the stadium.

Access will be possible from the east at the end of Cregg Lane on a short unfinished road through the construction area, but the western approach is the preferred route.
Improvements to public infrastructure in the Silver Park neighborhood include the through street connecting Orange and Russell streets, an additional parking lot with 173 spaces, a new railroad trestle to promote a section of permanent road under it, an extended trail system and the 14.5-acre Silver Park. The work is being done by the City’s urban renewal agency, the Missoula Redevelopment Agency (MRA).

“We’re so pleased with the way the projects are coming together,” said Chris Behan, MRA assistant director. “We’re looking forward to the finished improvements for the public later this summer.”
