One man is dead and another injured in a car wreck after they hit a horse off of Highway 89 just west of Browning.

The wreck was posted to the Montana highway patrol website at 1:30a.m.  Trooper Kirt Miller confirmed that it was a one vehicle accident with two male occupants, both Tribal members. 

They were driving a 2005 Dodge Stratus.  Miller says speed was likely a factor but it is unknown if alcohol is a factor. 

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger was flown out by Alert flight with unknown injuries.
