2008: The Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago is topped off at 1,389 feet, at the time becoming the world's highest residence above ground-level. The Burj Khalifa in Dubai would take over that claim when it opened in January 2010. Today, the Trump International Hotel and Tower is the third-tallest building in the United States, after the Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower) in Chicago and One World Trade Center in New York City.
