1978: Actor Robert Shaw, best known for movies such as "The Sting," "The Taking of Pelham One Two Three," "Black Sunday" and "Jaws," dies of a heart attack at the age of 51 in Ireland. He earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for 1966's "A Man for All Seasons."
