Officials ID woman killed in Sanders County crash
A woman who died in a rollover crash near Paradise last weekend was traveling home after helping set up a Red Cross shelter for families affected by the West Mullan Fire near Superior.
The Montana Red Cross says Kathy Duffner and her husband were returning to Plains at about 10:30 p.m. on July 15 when her husband swerved to avoid an elk in the road near Paradise. Their vehicle rolled and landed on its top.
The Missoulian reports Kathy Duffner died at the scene. She was 53.
