The Northwest Montana Fair saw a decrease in attendance this year.

It’s believed in part due to the cancellation of concert headliner Chris Young.

We went straight to fair officials, who broke down the final numbers for us, and here's what they said.

Overall, more than 75,000 people attended between August 13th and 18th.

The rodeo saw a 6% increase, and with a new carnival operations company, ride sales saw a 17% increase over their previous best year.

As for changes and improvements to the next year’s fair, officials tell us they will look to bring another big headliner act back to the Northwest Montana Fair.
