MISSOULA, Mont. -

The Montana Department of Corrections has expanded its victim notification system.

Victim Information and Notification Everyday, or “VINE,” now tracks those on probation or parole, along with felons in prison and in pre-release centers.

Victims can sign up to receive automated messages about changes in their custody status or location.

According to the Montana Department of Corrections, there are 13,000 felons in Montana. We're told VINE delivered nearly 30,000 messages in 2013.
