A man charged with breaking into a Billings house in mid-August and attacking two retired Roman Catholic nuns is now charged with a similar break-in that occurred just hours earlier.
32-year-old Christopher Samuel Pine pleaded not guilty Tuesday to three counts of robbery, three counts of deceptive practices and one count of intimidation for a break-in late on Aug. 13. A woman said two men broke into her house and took her credit cards and her car. The woman was not injured.
Pine pleaded not guilty last month to several charges alleging he broke into the nuns' house early on Aug. 14, stomped on their heads and took at least one credit card. The nuns were hospitalized for several days.
Pine's bail was maintained at $250,000.
