MISSOULA, Mont. -

Still looking for a gift for Father's Day? Why not take the old man fishing? This weekend it's free, thanks to Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks.

FWP is allowing families to fish without licenses this Saturday and Sunday, but all other fishing regulations will still be enforced.

FWP officials say anglers bring in almost a quarter million dollars a year.

The folks at Grizzly Hackle in Missoula say this is the perfect weekend to hit the river.

“It’s a great way to get these kids out on the water, and out there with their fathers and parents,” says Grizzly Hackle Retail Manager Brendan Bannigan. “Especially this weekend, the water's supposed to be beautiful, the fishing should be great. All of our rivers are getting into good shape."
